Wild Creativity at the Intersection of Art and Fishing
A conversation with Anna Brones on Creative Fuel about the seasons of fishing and creativity, the importance of place, and how we can all be better connected.
Anna Brones is a writer, artist, and educator. She works as a papercut artist and produces Creative Fuel, a newsletter and podcast. She is the author of several books including Fika: The Art of the Swedish Coffee Break and Culinary Cyclist. We connected with Anna many moons ago when she made a series of fishing-focused papercut cards for Salmon Sisters that were sold in support of women in the fishing industry. We have loved following along with Anna’s creative prompts that come straight to our inbox each week, her cycling and cold-water swimming adventures, and her work and way as an artist. We were honored to have her write a blurb for the cover of our new cookbook, The Salmon Sisters: Harvest & Heritage:
We are excited to share our recent conversation with Anna about our new book and the seasonal cycles that connect us to our community, our work on the water, and to creativity. Read to the bottom of her post for a list of Alaskan artists & authors that inspire us. Follow
